To put it simply: if you want to know the who, what, and why of DZR shoes, I’d venture to say the above video just about sums it up. Admittedly, I say this without having engaged a thorough mise-en-scene, shot by shot cinematography and editing analysis and having no formal education in film theory. One could entertain Freudian analysis or persuade the reader that the film contains a deeper social message. Some of this will be left for the eyes of the reader but I believe DZR made this film because it portrays the well-known truth that happy feet lead to good dreams. And good dreams lead to good realities. There can be no other explanation.

Ripping around Gunnison, Colo. in the Dice was pure pleasure. The fit and feel is comparable to fine Italian monk’s but the sole is rugged and all it takes is a click into your SPD’s and you’ll be taking the singletrack “shortcut” home without needing a shoe change in the alley.
