Easton introduces Ultralight EC90 Carbon XC wheels

(Santa Cruz, Calif.)- Easton introduces new ultralight carbon UST EC90 XC Wheels

At first glance Easton's new EC90 carbon mountain bike wheels look very similar to their less expensive aluminum brother the EA90. But upon closer inspection it is obvious that Easton has stepped up their game with this ultralight carbon wheelset. What sets the EC90 apart from other carbon wheels on the market is the Armored Ballistic Composite that Easton introduced last season with the Haven Carbon trail/All Mountain wheel. But the EC90 pairs bomber carbon technology with full UST compatibility and ultralight hubs. With the 26" version of the wheels weighing in at 1285g for the pair and 29" at 1416g these wheels are guranteed to be a game changer.

Designed and engineered by Easton and manufactured in their EMX composite factory in Tijuana, Mexico, the EC90 XC is the lightest UST compatible wheel on the market. Featuring a generous, 19-mm internal rim width (and a girthy 24.7-mm external width) that will accommodate tires up to 2.3-inches.
