Located on the north end of scenic Colorado
Springs, the United States Air Force Academy is one of the top tourist locations in all of Colorado. Hiding within the borders of the Academy is
the Falcon Trail. Slowly developed over the years by cadets and residents as an exercise trail, the Academy has invested heavily in upgrading
the trail to become the heart pounding, exhilarating experience of the the now award winning Falcon Trail.
By utilizing the
football stadium parking areas, a 14.6 mile race course has been marked that can only be described as EPIC! Fly in to Denver or Colorado Springs
if coming from out of state or pack up the car/RV and come RACE!
Race Village
Introducing a new spin on the classic "Expo Area".
We call it our Race Village. The 24 Hours of Colorado Springs Race Village is a place for racers, family members, and spectators to
discover something new during the race.
The Race Village theme is "Be Healthy, Be Green, and Be Fast".
While
the race occurs in the background, anyone visiting the Race Village will be treated to a host of healthy foods, fitness instruction, environmentally
friendly ideas for greener living, and some of the coolest "fastest" bike products in the world. Our sponsors and vendors are being selected
to give all of us a chance to Be Health, Be Green, and Be Fast. There's something for everyone in the 2010 Race Village.
Mid-September is a famously beautiful time in Colorado. With Pike's Peak, Garden of the Gods, Old Colorado City, and a variety of other
attractions; the Pike's Peak Region might become a great destination for a longer stay than just the race. With the race course so close to
town that riders will be able to see city lights all night, why not enjoy the fact that all the good stuff isn't 30miles away...book a room and stay
for a while.
Give 100%
In case you're new to 24-Hour events or new to racing, don't worry. One of the greatest parts of a
24-Hour event isn't about speed, but about team. While some teams, Duos, and Solo riders will be hustling for the podium; many riders are
content to just have fun competing with friends and family. For 2010, 24 Hours of Colorado Springs would like to challenge you to Give 100%.
As a proud supporter of the Wounded Warriors Project, all proceeds from the race will go directly to assist those men and women who have served
our country and now need our help to live healthy lives back home. In this event, just being a part of it makes all of us winners!! Come
ride a few laps with your friends and make a difference.
