(July 24, 2011) STEAMBOAT, Colo.-Approximately 350 racers toed the line at the inaugural Honey Stinger, Steamboat Stinger 50 mile mountain bike race to test out the new course that began in town at Howelson Hill and sent riders out on a challenging loop full of classic singletrack and loads of climbing. Mother nature delivered a perfect Rocky Mountain day with warm temps and sunny skies for the riders as they set out for a day of suffering through meadows of wildflowers, quaking aspen groves, and fields of sage.

(July 23, 2011) IDAHO SPRINGS, Colo.—In its 46th annual running, the Bob Cook Memorial Mt. Evans Hillclimb was contested on a perfect Rocky Mountain day replete with plenty of sunshine, cool temperatures and 7540 feet of climbing up the country’s highest paved road.
(July 24 2011) – Bend, Oregon – Janel Holcomb of the Colavita/Forno d'Asolo womens cycling team wrested the overall win, at the 32nd Cascade Classic Stage Race, from Clara Hughes (Cycle BC) and denied a determined Peanut Butter & Co. TWENTY12 squad as well.
Honey Stinger Announces Steamboat Stinger Mountain Bike Race

(July 16, 2011) Breckenridge, Colo.-Reigning Breck 100 champ Josh Tostado (Santa Cruz/Shimano) finally met his match in Jeff Schalk (Trek) at this years National Ultra Endurance series race in Breckenridge Colorado. Tostado has won every year since the races inception six years ago. Schalk finished second last year after flatting twice on the first of three loops, and then having to fight back from a 17-minute deficit.

(July 10, 2011) BOULDER, Colo.-The afternoon downpours of the preceding few days were thankfully absent for the racing on Sunday at North Boulder Park. Thunder rolled around off in the distance but stayed away as fans cheered on the racers tackling the circuit around the park. With a slight uphill start/finish, a few 90 degree corners and a set of three successive turns packed tightly together along the back corner of the course, the racing was never dull.
