Stage 4 began wonderfully when I missed the start of the race.

(Aug 26, 2010) BRECKENRIDGE, Colo—Stage 5 of the Breck Epic produced another great day of close racing and stellar weather for racers to cross Wheeler Pass.
I thought I was going to get hypothermia at 12,200’ on the continental divide. Then I found a beach towel.
When we started up the first climb of stage three, I immediately felt better with my lower gear. I was able to sit down and spin right up the hill.

(Aug 24, 2010) BRECKENRIDGE, Colo—The Mount Guyot stage of the Breck Epic served up epic conditions on one of the biggest stages for the third day of racing, which featured 9600 feet of climbing over 44 miles.
I ran into a pine tree today at 30mph. Aside from that bit of misfortune, stage two was better than stage one.
This morning’s start was a pleasant 50 degrees. We crowded into some little side street in downtown Breck, stood around making fun of each other, and then pedaled up a paved road.
(Aug 21-22, 2010) TELLURIDE, Colo- With the return of gravity racing to Telluride, there appears to be a trend there much like many other ski resorts around Colorado. Telluride opened up their new bike park last year for the 12 hour downhill race, The Full Tilt in Telluride. This year the Full Tilt featured super d and downhill racing, as well as endurance racing.

(Aug 7/8, 2010) Keystone, Colo—The Keystone Revival, which was the sixth stop of the Mountain States Cup series, signified a return of racing at Keystone Ski Resort, and also served as the Colorado State Mountain Bike Championships for cross country, short track, super D, and downhill disciplines.
A monument dedicated to the Red Zinger/Coors Classic, the cycling community in general, and the continuing evolution of the bicycle as human powered transport is seeking donations for the construction of the sculpture.

Not much could be shared, as details were unknown. As soon as the area of the event was mentioned, there was no doubt to its exact location: Wilson Woods.
(July 29- 31, 2010) Winter Park, Colo- Wind and rain were in the recipe for the Crankworx dual slalom and slopestyle event’s weather this year. Wednesday brought buckets of rain and dumped it all on the dual slalom and slopestyle courses, making for near impossibly deep mud.
