2011 Mellow Johnny’s Spring Classic Kick-Off Party to Benefit the Texas High School Mountain Bike League
AUSTIN, Texas (March 30, 2011) – Mellow Johnny’s Bike Shop is excited to announce that its 3rd annual Mellow Johnny’s Spring Classic Kick-Off Party will benefit the Texas High School Mountain Bike League for the first time ever on Friday, April 29 at 7pm.
Collegiate racers from around the state get a chance to test their early season chops.
DENVER, Colo. (March 27th, 2011)-The annual DU Criterium was held at Denver City Park on Sunday where both collegiate and USCF racers towed the line to work on early season fitness, and gain valuable race experience. This event is also an annual fundraiser for the DU Cycling Club. Collegiate level riders from all over the state turned out for the race, some even trying their luck in the USCF races later in the afternoon.

Sedona Arizona, March 19th 2011
The second race in the Arizona Endurance Series went off last Saturday in Sedona Arizona. Along with New Mexico and Colorado, the Arizona Endurance Series is a relatively new race format that “promotes responsible grassroots endurance racing”. These races have a maximum of 74 participants, due to National Forest Service regulations, but the daunting nature of most of the courses seems to keep the number of riders to a smaller hard-core crew at all but a few of the races. There are no entry fees, no official timing, and lots of beer and pizza at the finish!
