(April 10, 2011) COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo-The threat of rain and possible snow was blown away by the wind on day 2 of the Mountain States Cup series opener in Colorado Springs. The day broke to clear skies as racers convened at Cheyenne Mountain Park to tackle the cross-country course. The lure of a longer race with more of the parks trails included in the course seemed to draw quite a few more racers than Saturdays time trial.

(April 9, 2011) COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo-The first race in the Mountain States Cup series came to Cheyenne Mountain Park last weekend under blue skies and strong winds. Racers from all over the Rocky Mountain region came to test their skills and fitness at the first race in the series. The Mountain States Cup Series is a nine event series with races in Colorado and New Mexico. Races include short track, cross-country, down hill, super D, and 4x racing.

(April 10, 2011) MEAD, Colo.—DBC Events created another classic course with the Mead-Roubaix in the rural farmland of Larimer, Boulder, and Weld Counties. Fashioned after the iconic Paris-Roubaix ‘Hell of North’ classic in Europe, the parcors sent racers out for multiple laps on a 66 percent paved and 34 percent hard pack (dirt road) route 19.4 miles in length.

Visions of mud, dust, cobblestones and epic rides come to mind. One suspects there is a race in nearly every cycling community that models itself after the Paris-Roubaix spring classic.
