Dawn til Dusk 12 Hour Race
GALLUP, N.M.- With a new date this year, the annual Dawn til Dusk 12-hour race took place under sunny New Mexico skies. With about 275 racers pushing the pedals, it was a great day for racing among the hoodoos and balanced rocks of the High Desert Trail System.

(May 4, 2013) Moab Utah- The first Enduro of the season was run this past weekend in Moab Utah as hundreds of racers descended upon the Mag 7 trails off Gemini Bridges Road. This would be the first ever race held on this system of trails that was recently built by the awesome and hard working folks at Grand County Trail Mix. The Enduro Cup series is put on by Mountain Sports International, who have been running big time events in the world of skiing and snowboarding for years, and their experience showed as the event went off without a hitch.

To take a break from the long work days running around on foot at the Sea Otter Classic, I signed up to ride the MTB Gran Fondo at the event. Having never been to Sea Otter, I took a leap of faith and assumed I could “demo” a bike from any number of manufacturers for the recreational 20-miler. It was a bit of a gamble because there was a chance I would end up without a bike. But the other risk was getting a bike in my size.
