What is a product you bought in the past year that...

That you think changed the way you ride? Was it a new saddle, new shoes, or a new drivetrain?
The cycling industry is pushing technology to make riding easier and more enjoyable, what have you taken from this???

I have not bought anything this year that changed my riding, but I did take something from this year's technology. Since I saw that Sram XX components were running double up front (like Ritchey did in the early 90's), I figured I could do without the granny chain ring. I removed the granny and replaced the middle ring with something smaller (now 32-46), as well as replacing the cassette with one that has a broader range (12-32). I am still able to ride everything I was riding before, but have fewer chain line and chain suck issues. I have just had to get used to different gear combinations to achieve the same results.

Nice. How does that work where you live? What is the terrain like? Have you ever tried the new 2x10 products?

Going to a 20mm axle/160mm travel Marz55 really opened up my trailbike, but that was over a year ago. My previous 12mm qr's were simply no match in stiffness or tracking ability. It's a bit more heft going up but very worth it for going down techy high-speed trails.

Hey Jordan,
I guess I can't say i'm surprised to see you in a mountain biking bulletin board. In response to your question, I didn't add anything but a broken foot to my season. It's been a 5 month wait to get back on a trainer. I guess I take that back. I can't ride my rollers with the broken foot - too dangerous. So I added a standard rear wheel trainer and have found it a good source of sweat inducing spinning.
So, Jordan . . . Where you live lately?
